Pampered Chef Wedding ceremony Registry

I wanted to know if anyone has always been to a Pampered Chef Party?  What did you call up of the products?  Did you know they do hymeneals registries?  I was shocked to find out myself.  Merely want to get everyones thoughts.

Thanks

Re: Pampered Chef Wedding ceremony Registry

  • I would never attend a sales party, register with a visitor that promotes sales parties, or buy anything from such a company.

    Married 10/2/10

  • I'm simply non a fan of Pampered Chef.   I think they're gimmicky and plenty of other companies produce items that are of superior quality.

Every bit a guest, I would decline attending a Pampered Chef shower.  I'll purchase the gifts for the bride on my own time.  I don't desire a sales pitch to exist part of any consequence I'm attending.

  • This was in the 70s (I'thousand a MOG and MOB), we threw a shower for 1 of my higher sorority sisters. We told her we were having a Tupperware party and that the sales consultant was giving all of her profit to the affiliate as a donation. What she didn't know was that everything nosotros each ordered was our gift to her and the "donation" instead of going to the chapter was used to purchase additional items for her.

The evening of the shower the consultant "picked" our bride to be the one to demo everything - how to snap on lids, burp the containers, etc. By the time we got to the end of the demos of everything bought (and there was a lot!) the bride was a lilliputian annoyed that she was the only one having to do the demos. That is when the consultant told the bride that there were a couple of ways ane could accept all of the items she'd merely demo'd. A person could buy them all or they could be given them all as gifts by her sorority sister.  She had no inkling .... and she never had to purchase Tupperware again.  It looked like a Tupperware warehouse.

But would I be interested in going to this blazon of shower? Not really. I happen to like Pampered Chef stuff merely I'd rather be able to purchase a gift from whatever store and not a specific store. I did take an acquaintaince, who is a pampered chef consultant, ask me if I'd like to have such a shower for my DD (Uh, no- I'm the mother of the bride and don't host a shower for my DD) or for my FDIL. I declined both offers.

    This precisely.

  • I like their products however the party that is really a sales pitch is plenty of a turn off that its not worth information technology.

  • Concur with others above who say no.  Those blazon of showers likewise put people on the spot as far as their budgets.  what if all I tin beget to give you is the $12 wooden spoon?  If I purchase a $12 spoon in a brick and mortar store no one else is going to know.  Too difficult to be discreet at these showers.

  • Cheers for your advice.  I retrieve everyone has a valid point.

I don't remember I would practice a party for pampered chef I would pick things I similar and annals online if people want to buy corking if not they would have the other selections of stores that they could go to.

I love their products and I love to cook I just don't see annihilation like this in the stores.  I did buy a couple of things from the store and concluded up ownership from Pampered Chef in the end because of the inferior quality of the products I bought in the store.

    Again thank you,

  • When in doubt, become to places similar America'southward Test Kitchen to run into their ratings on products.

All Clad and Le Creuset are often at the top of the list for cookware.  I highly recommend looking into those brands when creating a registry.

    Ditto this 100%

  • I HATE with a passion those party-type sales pitches.  I've been to a few because one of my friends does them a lot and I"ve been guilted into going.  E'er hated them.  The Pampered Chef one was the worst.  The sales lady was basically trying to become us to buy more than stuff so that she could win free vacations, save up to purchase a house, etc, etc.  Worst sales pitch I ever saw.  It is very uncomfortable.

I don't know how the registry matter works, but I probably would never buy off one.  The whole matter just rubs me the wrong way.  You lot basically throw parties to guilt your friends into ownership stuff then that you get earn rewards and free stuff.  Just do a traditional registry and I'm adept with that.

  • My mom'south been selling Pampered Chef since I was 5 and I dearest their stuff. It is pricey but information technology ends up beingness worth information technology in nigh cases. We're still got things from 15 years ago. So if y'all want the products, set up upwardly a registry on the website.

I even so wouldn't do merely a Pampered Helpmate party or any they call it because similar PP said, not everyone will want to purchase PC stuff at a political party. Just have the registry ready upward like whatsoever other one and permit people buy what they want to on their own fourth dimension.

  • I honey Pampered Chef. I just hosted a party and received $350 worth of products for only $eighty. Hosting a party is definitely worth information technology!

I would non register there considering I have a lot of things from there already, simply if you lot really like them go to their website and check out the registry. I call back I would suggest talking to a local rep in your expanse, I think hosting a party may do good you lot and y'all can annals for other things somewhere else.

  • how did y'all prepare an online registry?  I looked on their website and I can't find that selection.

  • I tin run into how people would say the "showers" are tacky, merely how tacky is it to show up to a shower without a souvenir? Would you go to 1 without? Doubtful. Yes, information technology operates nether the presumption that your guests are going to purchase you something, but isn't that what all showers are?

In speaking to many brides, hither's the unspoken truth they ALL have told me they wish guests would understand: Yes, it's the thought that counts, but if yous were truly thoughtful, you'd get me the gifts I really want/need, and THAT is what the registry is for.

I think if you lot're going to do these showers like Pampered Chef, merely do it as a Pre-shower prove.... no souvenir required, however, brand it known that you ARE registered for their items... this provides your guests an opportunity to purchase the products at your evidence, with cheaper shipping for them, instead of down the road when they tin can't notice a consultant. They certainly don't Have to buy you anything, simply word of rima oris it that you LOVE the stuff... ;)

That'southward how I did my shower, anyway. I am now a consultant, and this is the only manner I do the showers. Because frankly, the invites the company and near other consultants ship out, ARE tacky. They explicitly say not to bring a gift, because you are supposed to buy the gift off the registry when you get there. Um, no... non how I do business :P
